Adobe Latest Update For Mac
I'm unable to update Adobe Reader v 11.0.10 to the latest version on Mac OS X 10.8.5. I have gone to Adobe's website: and tried to update Adobe Reader DC while following all the instructions on the help menu. I go through all the steps listed on the help menu, and at the end of the installation, says that the installation was successful. However, I know the installation must have failed because when I go to FireFox check plugins, FF indicates that my Adobe Reader plugin is vulnerable ('Status') and says under 'Action' that I should update it now. Here is the link to the FF page where I check my plugins:. On Adobe's website I noticed that my exact operating system 10.8.5 is not included in the drop down menu, so I chose Mac OS Intel 10.8. I'm unsure if Adobe Reader's update failure is due to 's lack of an update for Mac OS Intel 10.8.5.
Safari opens the Adobe Flash Player page on the Adobe website. Follow the instructions on the Adobe website to download and install the latest version of the plug-in. If you need to use an older version of Flash Player, you can use Internet plug-in management in Safari to run the plug-in in unsafe mode for websites that you trust.
Please advise on how I can successfully update my Adobe Reader (DC) v 11.0.10 on my Mac OS X 10.8.5. Thanks in advance! I'm unable to update Adobe Reader v 11.0.10 to the latest version on Mac OS X 10.8.5.

About the plugin checker. I don't know whether the plugin checker can handle both the classic Reader and the DC version. The plugin version looks a bit different between the two of them.
Actually, there may just be a glitch in the site at the moment. My current plugin version number (classic) is 11.0.11.18, and the version number the site is checking against is version 11.0.11. That doesn't match, but I am confident that my version is the latest available from Adobe, so I'm not going to panic.
